📅 January 22, 2026
⏰ Time: 1:00-2:30 p.m. EST

  • Session Description: Timely and meaningful consultation between public and private school officials is the foundational principle of equitable services. This session will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of consultation, including (1) when and how to initiate consultation; (2) required consultation topics; (3) how to achieve the goal of reaching agreement, including practical tips for a smooth and collegial process; and (4) documenting consultation.

With a background managing hundreds of millions of dollars in government services for Catholic Schools in New York and across the country, Michael understands the nuances of consultation from the single-school level up to massive 200-school districts. He serves as a bridge between non-public schools and government officials, having worked closely with the U.S. Department of Education and local educational agencies to ensure equity and access. Michael specializes in turning conflict into cooperation—most notably by successfully resolving high-stakes complaints at the local level to avoid federal intervention. As the founder of Bridge & Learn Advisors, he partners directly with schools, districts, and state educational agencies to optimize non-public school consultation and programs.
