About Us

2025 has brought unprecedented changes to the landscape of federal education law. These complex shifts require more specialized expertise—and that’s where Sligo Law Group can help.

Sligo Law Group was founded by former federal sector attorneys to provide legal advice and support to educational agencies, schools, and organizations nationwide and to fill the gaps left by the mass reductions in force and other administration changes at the U.S. Department of Education. Our team of senior attorneys has decades of combined education law experience in the federal sector, advising on some of the most consequential legal and policy issues in American education.

Our experience includes:

  • federal and administrative litigation;

  • direct client services;

  • affiliated organizational client representation; and

  • public advocacy in multiple practice areas, including K-12 and higher education, disability and other civil rights, programmatic and institutional accreditation, career and technical education, grant and contract applications and terminations, privacy, labor and employment, and First Amendment and academic freedom.

We bring focused expertise, uncompromising integrity, and a comprehensive understanding of how federal law and policy shape the daily operations of schools, districts, and education-serving organizations.
